Just 2 stitches used in a 3-row repeat! Run out of yarn or want a lace "bandana” instead? Stop short at any time to get your desired size. Want a bigger shawl? Get more yarn and work longer.

Size: 77½” wide x 5″ deep.

Yarn Requirements:
Any yarn, any weight.
Lily”s shawl used 1700 yds of fingering weight cotton.
Background shawl, enlarged to show stitch detail, used 1450 yds of sport weight.
You don’t have to stick to very fine yarns, even worsted weight wool or chunky mohair would work well in this pattern.

Crochet Hook:
We used a size G for the Fingering weight and a size I for the sport weight. You may use any size according to your yarn.

A button front, multi-directional vest that is intriguing to look at yet simple to work. Worked in sections, in different directions, it will keep you interested at every turn. Easy stripes, in mostly single crochet, with all shaping done in the solid sections.

Finished bust measurements: 40″ (44″, 48″, 53¼”, 57½”) – 102 (112, 122, 135, 146) cm
Length:19″ (20″t, 21″, 22″t, 23″t) – 48 (51, 53.5, 56, 58.5) cm

Yarn Requirements: Choose a heavy worsted (10 ply) weight yarn.
Approximately 380 (440, 500, 550, 580) yards (347 (402, 457, 503, 530) meters) of color A (dark) and 350 (400, 460, 490, 570) yards (320 (366, 420, 450, 521) meters) of color B (light)

Crochet Hook: Size K (6.5mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: In pattern stitch or sc, 10 sts and 12 rows = 4″ (10cm)

Suggested Naturally Yarns: Alpine, Naturelle, Natural Wool or Tussock in 10ply (worsted) weight
